Today’s the Day to Meet the Harrisons

Prayer group, check.

Farmers’ Market, check.

Starbucks, check.

I’m giving myself an hour (timer set, check) to clean off my desk and enter some financial stuff, and then, it’s time to get to know the Harrisons, the couple in the novel I’ll start today. I will miss Peter and Joan Gregory, the protagonists in my first novel, but they’re safely off with a few readers before I see if my sort-of agent thinks they’re marketable.

The Harrisons are different from the Gregorys. The Harrisons live in my neighborhood and are six-figure-each professionals who work in DC. The Gregorys live in western Virginia and he’s a mechanic, she’s a librarian. The Gregorys both knew they were unhappy… the Harrisons, not so much. But they’re going to find out. I can’t wait till they tell me how they’re going to get it back together!
