My friend Bonnie Rose Hudson inspires me because she trusts God so completely.

When she was still in her 20s, she went to her first writers’ conference–alone, without knowing anyone in attendance. She knew she was being called to write, specifically for young adults.

In just the past two years, Bonnie Rose has gone from never having conducted an interview to joining the staff of The Old Schoolhouse® , the premier homeschooling magazine; blogging; and presenting at conferences. She stepped away from a civil servant’s career to answer this call. She’s a beautiful writer, and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for her.

Please include Bonnie Rose in your prayers this month as she submits a wonderful book series proposal to a literary agent.

My husband and my mom really reflect Christ to me, in very different ways. Mom shares her time generously and always has one project or another going on to help others – making prayer shawls for those in mourning, reaching out to a home bound neighbor, planning worship services for her retirement community. My husband brings Christ into the intimacy of our marriage with lovingkindness and a firm openness to God. He also leads by example with his prayer life… I’m more the spontaneous pray-er but watching him set aside time for God reminds me how important that is.

Julie Miller. She led the first Christian writers conference I ever attended at Green Lake. The morning devotions touched my heart, her friendship has encouraged me and her advice along the way has always been sound because it is God-directed. We love to watch the sun rise together because it reminds us that every day His mercies are new .
