Melanie Rigney can’t stop talking — or writing — about the women saints and how they bless us today.
She is the author of Blessed Are You: Finding Inspiration from Our Sisters in Faith (Franciscan Media, 2015), which illumines what we can learn from the way the saints lived the Beatitudes, and Sisterhood of Saints: Daily Guidance and Inspiration (Francisca, 2013), a page-a-day devotional gift book. She also is co-author of When They Come Home: Ways to Welcome Returning Catholics (Twenty-third Publications, 2009), a guide for parish leaders who want to assist those considering a return to the Church. It’s a ministry that is close to Melanie’s heart, as she was away from Catholicism for more than thirty years.
Melanie is also a regular contributor to Living Faith, the Catholic devotional, and writes weekly for Your Daily Tripod, a Catholic blog. She is a member of the Catholic Writers’ Guild, Capital Christian Writers, and several other writing groups. She lives in Arlington, Virginia, where she is a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and is active in the Cursillo movement.
